No Pose Family Photos: Why I’ll Never Ask You to Fake a Smile

Well... because I hate it. Personally.

I get awkward, my smile turns weird, and all I can think about is: "When the hell will this be over?"

So if I can’t stand it, why would I make you or your family go through it?

Where It All Started

I was standing by the window, holding my 3-month-old son. Cool breeze on my face, a quiet moment. He looked up at me with the sweetest eyes—as if saying, “Mumma, I’m loving this too.”My heart exploded. It felt like we had our first real conversation.Nothing grand. Just... real. And I knew right then, I wanted photos of this season of motherhood.

Next day, I searched for photographers. But all I found were studio setups—babies surrounded by flower baskets, mothers in fancy gowns.I didn’t want that.

I wanted my ghar wale kapde, the sleepless nights, the joy in our tiny, rented home. Our everyday life, filled with small but beautiful memories.

And that’s how Snuggle Diaries began—photographing my own family, just the way it is.No staging. No dressing up. Just us.

From One Mother to Another

Soon, other mothers began to connect with my photos.Every time someone said, “This is exactly what I wanted!”I knew—I wasn’t selling a product.I was capturing feelings. Tiny truths of motherhood. No fancy crap, no props.Just real life.

If you’ve ever felt awkward in front of the camera or struggled to find a photographer who truly “gets” your family, this is for you.

No Pose Family photos are key to stress free and ensuring you don't need to spend a whole weekend on getting family photos.

Letting Families Just Be ( ZERO to No POSE )

Whenever a parent asks, “What should we do during the shoot?”I flip the question: “What’s your ideal Sunday morning like?”Their answer gives me everything—their favourite moments, routines, tiny joys. And just like that, the plan writes itself.

The kids? The parents? They’re just doing what they always do.And for once, they feel like they can just be—even during a photoshoot.

Stories Behind my own family Photos & some from clients

📸 Breakfast with my little one. He was playing with cereal in his nightwear—I set a timer and captured our messy, sweet mornings.

📸 A family wanted a formal portrait. But their toddler pulled her sister’s hair mid-click... and that’s the photo they printed for their wall.

Let Kids Be Kids, Family photos are meant to be imperfect

Some photographers say working with kids is hard.I say: Let them jump. Let them make a mess. Let them not behave.See the world from their point of view—it’s chaotic, funny, and beautifully honest.

If this sounds like the kind of memory you want to hold on to, I’d love to meet your family.

Years from now, these are the moments you’ll remember. Not the perfect poses, but the real laughs, spilled cereal, running feet, messy hugs. That’s what I’m here to capture.
